Job description

Somethings is building the first social wellness platform for teens, a place where a teen can form a real relationship with a mentor who gets them, sticks with them, and helps them get better.

25 Million teens in the U.S. are struggling with their mental health. Every one of the thousands of teens who download Somethings is struggling. Our job is to make sure they don’t just show up — they stay, connect with real humans who care deeply about them, and get the support that they need to thrive.

We’re backed by General Catalyst and world-class healthcare + consumer investors, and we’re growing like crazy — in 2025 we grew 1100% and are on track to 5x in 2026.

If you want to be a part of the generationally defining company in mental health, this is your moment to join.

Interested? Here Are Your Next Steps:

Submit your written application. We will review your application as soon as possible.

If you pass the written application, you will be invited to submit a video interview. The video can be submitted via Google Drive, One Drive, Vimeo, or YouTube.

If you pass the video screen, you will be invited to interview with our team (approx. 75mins), including a text-based roleplay that simulates Mentor text-based support on the Somethings platform

Prep material will be provided in advance of this session

If you pass the live interview round, you'll be sent a formal offer, complete internal training and onboarding tasks. Once your CPS certificate is approved, we'll get you onboarding in our next available cohort.

Once all of your internal training and onboarding is complete and you have a valid CPS certification, you will be activated as a Mentor and start working directly with teens!

Please note:

We have extremely high standards for Mentors, less than 10% of applicants are accepted.

Your time from application to start can vary significantly depending on factors beyond our control, including government review processes. We truly appreciate your patience and understanding.
