We are looking for a Sous Chef to join our Culinary Team and work alongside the Executive Chef to help deliver high-quality meals while maintaining a safe, efficient, sanitary, and welcoming kitchen environment.

What You'll Do As our Sous Chef, you will play an important role in the daily operation of the kitchen, including:
Partner with the Executive Chef and Culinary Team to maintain consistent food quality and presentation.
Ensure kitchen operations meet food safety, sanitation, quality, and compliance standards.
Monitor inventory, maintain accurate records, and order supplies as needed.
Prepare and direct food preparation when necessary.
Perform required food temperature, equipment temperature, and chemical balance checks.
Assist with training, supervision, coaching, and development of Kitchen Staff.
Keep food preparation areas, equipment, and common areas clean, safe, and sanitary.
Deliver food and beverages to satellite kitchens at multiple locations.
Proactively identify and resolve kitchen and community challenges.
Assist with general maintenance requests and other Community Operations needs as assigned.
What We're Looking For We are seeking someone who is:
At least 18 years old and able to read and write in English.
Experienced in food service;
culinary experience is preferred.
ServSafe Management certified or able to obtain certification within 90 days of hire.
Organized, dependable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.
Comfortable working independently while also being a strong team player.
Able to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
A confident communicator who can lead, coach, and support team members.
Professional, positive, and committed to providing excellent customer service.
Compassionate and sensitive to the needs of older adults.
Able to maintain confidentiality and treat residents, families, visitors, and coworkers with respect.
Additional Requirements This position requires a valid driver's license and access to a private vehicle for business use. A current Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card, or proof of application within the required timeframe, is also required. Additional background, drug screening, and health-related requirements apply based on the position and level of resident interaction.

Physical & Schedule Requirements This is an active, hands-on position requiring frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, and kneeling. The position may require lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally and carrying up to 25 pounds frequently.
Work hours may vary and can include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays based on community needs.
