Special Education Reading Specialist - Pittsfield, New Hampshire

This rewarding contract opportunity offers flexibility, allowing you to work full-time or part-time through June 2027. You’ll support students as a Special Education Teacher with reading specialist expertise, partnering with an engaged staff to deliver impactful instruction.
In this role, you’ll provide dynamic reading interventions and differentiated support in a positive elementary or middle school setting, guiding students toward literacy success. Your skills will be valued as you help shape individualized learning plans and foster confidence in each student’s ability.
Desired Qualifications:
Active Special Education Teaching certification
Demonstrated experience as a Reading Specialist
Familiarity with Orton-Gillingham or Wilson Reading System preferred
Solid understanding of reading intervention strategies for diverse learners
Commitment to inclusive, student-centered education
What You’ll Do:
Deliver targeted reading instruction and intervention to students in need of additional support
Assess and monitor students' progress, adjusting strategies to maximize their growth
Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to create holistic educational plans
Document instructional activities and maintain thorough progress records
