Job description
Step into an impactful opportunity supporting 3rd grade learners in an intervention classroom for a short-term, leave coverage assignment this school year. This contract position offers the chance to apply your expertise as a Special Education Teacher, providing focused instruction and individualized support within a collaborative, student-centered environment.
Assignment Snapshot:
Short-term contract beginning November 2026 and concluding in February 2027
Monday through Friday schedule, specific hours to be determined
3rd grade intervention-focused caseload, size and student population details to be finalized
Preferred Experience & Qualifications: Current state-issued Special Education teaching certification
Endorsement suited to elementary grade levels and/or SPED requirements
Demonstrated background with intervention, IEP writing, progress monitoring, and elementary special education preferred
Strong communication skills, with readiness to collaborate across disciplines
Ability to tailor interventions, monitor student progress, and meticulously document services provided
Key Responsibilities: Design and deliver specialized instruction aligned with each student's IEP
Implement accommodations, modifications, and interventions to meet diverse learning needs
Track student growth, maintaining thorough documentation to support ongoing evaluation
Foster partnerships with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, related service staff, and families
Actively participate in IEP meetings and student support planning
