Job description
Step into an impactful role supporting students' growth and achievement in special education settings. This full-time contract opportunity runs through the upcoming academic year and offers the chance to shape lives across multiple grade levels in the Ypsilanti area.
Three passionate Special Education Teachers are needed to provide dedicated instruction and support for students at the early elementary, middle, and high school levels. You'll join a collaborative environment where your expertise and attention make a true difference each day.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Active Michigan teaching certification with Special Education endorsement (please submit proof of certification)
Demonstrated experience or enthusiasm for working with diverse learners or students with disabilities
Adaptable teaching approach to accommodate individualized education plans
Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
Commitment to fostering inclusive and supportive learning environments
Responsibilities: Deliver engaging instruction tailored to students' unique learning needs and IEP requirements
Collaborate with fellow educators, families, and related service providers
Employ positive behavioral supports and differentiated teaching strategies
Track progress, maintain accurate documentation, and participate in IEP meetings
Create an environment that encourages social, emotional, and academic development for all students
This position offers full-time hours with the stability of a school-year contract, serving students and making a meaningful impact. Each of the three roles will focus on a specific caseload: early learning elementary, middle school, or high school, providing the chance to contribute where your strengths shine brightest.
