Job description
Job Title: Certified Special Education Teacher
Reports To: Coordinator/Case Manager, Instructional Coach - Special Education, or Director of Special Education
About the Role:
We are looking for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to provide individualized instruction and support for students with disabilities. You'll manage IEPs, track student progress, and collaborate with educators, parents, and staff to create a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment.
What You'll Do:
* Deliver instruction tailored to individual and small-group needs, aligned with general education curriculum
* Manage and update IEPs in collaboration with families and IEP teams
* Use technology and creative teaching strategies to engage students
* Apply classroom modifications and behavior interventions when needed
* Participate in meetings, assessments, and interdisciplinary planning
* Maintain accurate student records and monitor progress
What We're Looking For:
* Bachelor's degree in Education and a current Special Education teaching certificate
* Knowledge of K-12 special education requirements
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
* Comfort using technology and Microsoft Office tools
* Professionalism in handling confidential information

Physical Requirements:
* Stand, sit, and move around the classroom as needed
* Lift or carry up to 50 pounds
* Work in varied school settings, including outdoors at times
