Step into a rewarding role supporting students as a dedicated Special Education Teacher covering a maternity leave for a 12-week contract. You will play a pivotal part in helping students thrive, collaborating with a supportive school community, and ensuring consistent progress on IEP goals. The incoming teacher is expected to return after the holidays, but there's a strong possibility you'll be able to continue supporting students as the assignment could extend. Qualifications & Experience:
Valid teaching credential in Special Education (Intervention Specialist or equivalent)
Proven experience working with individualized education programs (IEPs)
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Ability to foster inclusive, encouraging classroom environments
Reliable, flexible, and compassionate approach to education
Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred
Key Responsibilities: Deliver engaging instruction to special education students across varied ability levels
Implement, monitor, and document progress on IEP goals
Adapt lesson plans and teaching strategies to meet each student's needs
Collaborate closely with general education teachers, administrators, and families
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all educational requirements
