Job description
Step into an engaging classroom environment serving kindergarten through second-grade students with multiple disabilities as a Special Education Teacher for a 12-week maternity leave coverage. Starting September 16, 2026, this full-time contract role invites you to make a genuine difference, guiding young learners and providing the structure and support they need to succeed.
Qualifications and Experience:
Current Special Education Teacher certification
Experience teaching students with Multiple Disabilities (MD) at the elementary level
Expertise in modifying curriculum and implementing individual accommodations
Skilled in classroom management and maintaining structured routines
Strong commitment to fostering an inclusive, safe, and supportive environment
Excellent communication skills for collaboration with staff and families
What You'll Do: Deliver tailored instruction to K-2 students, following established IEPs and personalized learning strategies
Implement modified curriculum plans designed to meet the unique needs of each learner
Establish predictable routines that provide stability and security in the classroom
Monitor student progress and adjust teaching techniques as required to promote growth
Collaborate with other educators, aides, and specialists to ensure comprehensive support for each child
Maintain clear documentation of student performance and ongoing communication with parents and support staff
