Job description
Make a meaningful impact in the lives of elementary students as a Special Education Teacher at a French Immersion school near Kansas City, MO-no need to speak French! This contract opportunity spans the academic year, with an engaging mixed caseload supporting students from kindergarten through fifth grade. You'll work full-time at a single location, contributing to a collaborative environment.

Desired Qualifications:
Special Education (SPED) certification required
Experience or passion for working with elementary (K-5) age children
Ability to support students with a range of needs (mild to severe)
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Dedication to fostering both academic and personal growth in all learners
Key Responsibilities: Provide instruction, support, and accommodations to students with diverse learning needs in a mixed caseload setting
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each child's strengths and challenges
Collaborate with general education staff, support personnel, and families to ensure every child's success
Monitor student progress, adapting approaches as necessary for best outcomes
Create a nurturing and positive learning environment that honors each student's individuality
