Job description
Make a daily impact supporting students as a Special Education Teacher in a warm, collaborative school setting near North Ridgeville, OH. Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid teaching license with Special Education endorsement or certification
Previous experience teaching students with disabilities or within a resource or inclusion classroom preferred
Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and tracking
Patience, adaptability, and commitment to individualized learning
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, staff, and families
Ability to assess student needs and tailor lessons accordingly
Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for assigned students
Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to support various learning styles and abilities
Foster a positive and encouraging classroom environment
Work collaboratively with general education teachers and related service providers
Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and report on performance and goals
Communicate frequently with families to update them on student growth and address concerns
Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and professional development as needed
