Job description

Qualifications and Background:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field
Valid teaching certification in Special Education (or eligibility for certification)
Experience working with students with diverse learning needs, including IEP development and implementation
Strong classroom management skills and the ability to adapt instruction to various learning styles
Excellent communication skills when working with students, parents, and colleagues

Key Responsibilities: Develop and deliver effective lesson plans tailored to individual student needs
Implement and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), tracking student progress and making adjustments as necessary
Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families for comprehensive student support
Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and staff development sessions
Foster a supportive classroom environment that encourages student independence and self-advocacy
Maintain accurate records and comply with reporting requirements
