Special Education Teacher | Vernon Hills, Illinois
Make a meaningful impact as a dedicated Special Education Teacher and Case Manager working with students with diverse and complex needs. This full-time, onsite contract opportunity is located near Vernon Hills, IL, and offers the chance to work closely with a small caseload of 4 students, ensuring each receives specialized support tailored to their unique requirements.
In this position, you will play a vital role in coordinating, planning, and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs), advocating for student needs, and collaborating with families and multidisciplinary teams.
What We're Looking For:
Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with the appropriate Special Education endorsement
Experience supporting students with multiple and complex needs
Proven expertise in developing, executing, and maintaining IEPs for diverse learners
Strong case management skills with an understanding of compliance and documentation requirements
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with students, families, and colleagues
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as case manager for a caseload of 4 students, overseeing all aspects of their educational programs
Conduct comprehensive assessments and create effective IEPs addressing academic, behavioral, and social-emotional goals
Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and family members to foster a supportive learning environment
Monitor progress, maintain detailed records, and ensure compliance with district and state regulatory requirements
Advocate for students needs and coordinate necessary accommodations and services
Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and schoolwide initiatives

Compensation for this position ranges from $25.00 to $45.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
