n nSpecialty Pharmacist Responsibilities:
nnnThe Specialty Pharmacist would be expected to provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care to patients with complex, chronic or rare conditions requiring specialty medications. The role includes clinical review, patient counseling, adherence monitoring, coordination with prescribers and ensuring safe and effective medication use. The pharmacist ensures compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards while supporting positive clinical and financial outcomes.

nnThe Specialty Pharmacist should have above average knowledge of Specialty regulatory compliance, insurance coordination, patient management and patient education.
n
n nDuties may include -
nnnCompliance and documentation, quality assurance, financial assistance, education and training and clinical expertise
n
nnEnsuring compliance URAC and ACHC accreditation and with federal and state pharmacy regulations.
n
nnProviding patient education and counseling for specialty medications.
n
nnSupporting clinical decision-making and pharmacoeconomic efforts.
n
nnWork closely with a team of technicians and pharmacists to ensure the proper dispensing of medications to our patients.

n nCertifications and Licensure:
nnRequired: Pharmacist - State of FL
n nRequirements
nnRequired: Bachelor's Degree; PharmD preferred
n nPreferred -
nPrior experience in specialty or clinical pharmacy
nKnowledge of specialty pharmacy accreditation requirements (URAC and ACHC)
nFamiliarity with specialty therapeutic areas (e.g. Oncology, neurology, rheumatology and gastroenterology)
