Scope of Work
The Specialty RN Ambulatory for this posting will work in our Cancer Treatment Center at our Royal Oak hospital in a Pediatric Hematology/Oncology clinic. The candidate must be comfortable with accessing medi-ports, starting IVs, and monitoring patients for infusion reactions. The primary population would be pediatric patients receiving chemotherapy and blood transfusions.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree (B.S.N., M.S.N., or DNP/PhD) required from an NLN approved school of nursing
3 years of recent relevant acute care nursing experience, required
State of Michigan Registered Nurse license, required
AHA or ARC Basic Life Support certification, required
APHON certification, required
Previous experience with accessing medi-ports and starting IVs, required
Specialty certification, required within 1 year of hire
