About This Role
The Specialty Unit Staff RN - Relief Charge in Labor & Delivery provides professional nursing care as a leader of the healthcare team, ensuring quality and effectiveness in clinical practice while adhering to established standards of care.

Pay: $58 - $80/hour

Facility: South Bay Medical Center
Department/Unit: Labor & Delivery
Schedule: Part-time, Night shift
What You'll Do
Uphold Kaiser Permanente's policies and procedures.
Serve as a leader of the healthcare team; delegate tasks appropriately.
Develop and contribute to individualized plans of care.
Monitor patient progress and revise care plans as needed.
Ensure effective documentation of nursing processes and interventions.
Discuss patient findings and progress with the healthcare team.
Practice customer service standards and maintain patient confidentiality.
Act as a resource, preceptor, and mentor to new employees and team members.
Organize work to minimize overtime and assist in systems improvement.
Ensure adherence to workplace safety principles and practices.
Requirements
Education:
Associate's Degree (ADN) required
Experience:
1-year recent experience in Labor & Delivery or completion of a KP L&D course
Licenses & Certifications:
Current Registered Nurse License in California
BLS certification from American Heart Association
Advanced Fetal Monitoring Certificate required at hire or within 12 months
Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification
Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification
