Job description
The Gardens at Cedarwood located in Franklin, MA has an exciting opportunity available for a Full-time and PRN Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join their new in-house therapy team!
n $3,000 Sign on Bonus!!!nnPosition Summary:
nAs an SLP, you will evaluate, diagnose, and treat residents with communication, cognitive-linguistic, and swallowing disorders. You will work closely with an interdisciplinary team to help residents regain their independence and improve their quality of life.
nKey Responsibilities:
nnnConduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for residents with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.
n
nnProvide direct therapy services in accordance with the plan of care.
n
nnCollaborate with physicians, nurses, and other rehabilitation professionals to ensure comprehensive resident care.
n
nnEducate residents, families, and staff on communication strategies and safe swallowing techniques.
n
nnDocument all evaluations, treatments, and resident progress in compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations.
n
nnParticipate in care planning meetings, discharge planning, and quality improvement activities as needed.
n
nnProvide training and supervision to Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (if applicable).

n nQualifications:
nnnMaster’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
n
nnCurrent State licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (or eligibility to obtain).
n
nnCertificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred; CFY candidates will be considered.
n
nnCurrent CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
n
nnExperience in a skilled nursing facility or with geriatric populations preferred.
