Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)- Los Angeles, CA
Job type: Full-time, Permanent Shift: Day Shift, Monday- Friday, 7:30am - 3:45pm Setting: School-Based
Position Summary
The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) provides screening, assessment, and treatment for students with speech, language, and communication disorders including articulation, language impairments, fluency, voice, and social communication needs. The SLP collaborates with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success in academic and social environments.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct speech and language screenings, evaluations, and therapy services
Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans and IEPs
Participate in MTSS/RTI and multidisciplinary team meetings
Serve as case manager and coordinate services as needed
Provide culturally and linguistically appropriate services
Track student progress and adjust treatment using data-driven decisions
Educate parents, teachers, and staff on communication disorders and literacy impacts
Maintain accurate documentation, records, and reports
Deliver professional development related to communication disorders
Collaborate with school staff and families to support student outcomes
Required Qualifications
Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communicative Disorders (ASHA accredited) Valid California SLP License Valid California Speech-Language Pathology Services Credential Experience with IEP development and evidence-based practices Strong collaboration and communication skills New graduates accepted-( Full licensed needed)
Preferred Qualifications
Spanish language fluency
Experience with Welligent or similar systems
