nOVERVIEW & CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

nAt ABA Therapy Partners, Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) empower students to overcome language, speech, and communication challenges, directly enhancing their ability to thrive in educational and therapeutic programs.

nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES

nn**Assessment & Diagnosis: **Conduct evaluations, screenings, and formal/informal assessments to identify speech and language needs.

nIEP Development: Design and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's goals and state criteria.

nDirect Therapy: Deliver targeted individual or group speech therapy sessions to achieve measurable IEP outcomes.

nMultidisciplinary Collaboration: Consult with parents, school personnel, psychologists, and support teams to support holistic student progress.

n**Documentation & Compliance: **Maintain accurate IEP records and Medi-Cal billing in alignment with state and ABA Therapy Partners standards.

n nProfessional Growth: Participate in continuing education and staff development provided by ABA Therapy Partners.

nQUALIFICATIONS

nEducation & Credentials

nnDegree: Bachelor's degree in a related field required (Master's in Special Education preferred).

nCredentials: Valid California Teaching Credential and Speech-Language Pathology Specialist Credential.

nSkills: Bilingual (Spanish) or sign language skills desirable.

n nCore Competencies & Experience

nnSpecial Education Knowledge: Understanding of district, state, and federal special education laws and policies.

nStudent Support: Experience working with autistic, behaviorally challenged, or severely handicapped students preferred.

nAssistive Technology: Experience with alternative communication systems and adaptive tools highly desirable.

n**Communication & Organization: **Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to manage documentation independently and work collaboratively within educational teams.
