Job description
Step into a key speech-language pathology role supporting hospital and school-based therapy services. You'll provide skilled evaluation, diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment within a collaborative healthcare environment, enhancing communication and swallowing outcomes for diverse patient populations.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
Valid ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
Current state licensure as an SLP
Previous experience in hospital, acute care, or school settings highly valued
Strong knowledge of standardized testing, individualized treatment planning, and documentation protocols
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective family and multidisciplinary team collaboration
Responsibilities: Deliver comprehensive patient assessments, formulate measurable goals, and implement tailored therapy interventions for children and adults
Document care accurately and promptly according to hospital and school standards and regulatory requirements
Provide consultation and education for families, caregivers, and professionals to facilitate optimal care and generalization of skills
Participate in IEP meetings and interdisciplinary team rounds as appropriate
Maintain compliance with all legal, ethical, and organizational standards related to patient care and privacy
Contribute to discharge planning and make recommendations for continued services or supports as needed
