Job description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist Assistant to join our team for the school year in Butts County, GA . The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping individuals improve their communication skills and overcome speech-related challenges. This role involves working with children in the schools. The Speech Language Pathologist Assistant will treat speech, language, and swallowing disorders while collaborating with the supervising Speech Language Pathologist and other on-site education professionals to provide the collaboration and support needed to fulfill the role.
nTotal Communication Therapy is a speech therapy private practice owned and operated by a certified speech-language pathologist. We are seeking to further expand the Total Communication Therapy team.

nW-2 and 1099 offered
nDuties
nProvide therapy support under the supervision of licensed SLPs.
nImplement evidence-based speech therapy techniques to improve speech, language and communication skills.
nCollaborate with educators, teachers, and SLPs to support students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
nMaintain accurate documentation of student progress and session outcomes, while following district guidelines.
nEducate staff and parents on communication strategies and techniques.
nStay updated on advancements in speech therapy practices and participate in professional development opportunities.
nSkills
nExperience working with children in educational settings.
nKnowledge of school practices related to speech therapy.
nFamiliarity with school systems and experience implementing IEPs for students.
nStrong background in speech therapy.
nRequirements:
nActive Georgia SLPA license (or eligibility)
nPrevious school-based experience preferred
nAbility to work full-time and travel between school sites as needed (Schools are 8 minutes between each other)
nStrong communication and organizational skills
nCompensation & Benefits:
nCompetitive hourly pay: $35/hr (based on experience)
