Speech Language Pathologist Assistant

A school district in Peyton, Colorado is seeking a qualified SpeechLanguage Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for a fulltime, schoolbased contract. This position serves K12 students and supports the delivery of speech and language services under the supervision of a licensed SpeechLanguage Pathologist (SLP). Candidates who are passionate about helping students develop communication skills and achieve academic success are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
Provide speech and language therapy services to students under the supervision of a licensed SLP
Implement treatment plans and therapy activities developed by the supervising SLP
Assist students in improving articulation, language, fluency, and communication skills
Collect data and document student progress toward IEP goals
Prepare therapy materials and support service delivery in individual and group settings
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary team members
Participate in IEP meetings as appropriate
Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district, state, and federal guidelines
Qualifications
Active Colorado SpeechLanguage Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license required
Ability to work under the supervision of a licensed SpeechLanguage Pathologist
Ability to pass background checks, fingerprinting, and district clearances
Licensing and credentialing support may be available for eligible candidates
Education
Associates or Bachelors degree in SpeechLanguage Pathology Assistant studies, Communication Disorders, or a related field
Experience
Previous schoolbased, pediatric, or clinical experience preferred
Experience supporting students with speech and language disorders preferred
New graduates with appropriate licensure are encouraged to apply
Skills
Strong understanding of speech and language intervention strategies
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and documentation abilities
Ability to follow treatment plans and implement therapy activities effectively
Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team
