Job description
Step into an engaging contract assignment supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in a dynamic educational setting. Preferred Experience & Qualifications:
Valid SLPA license or eligibility to obtain in Maine
Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is highly valued
Solid understanding of speech and language developmental milestones
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal abilities
Willingness to collaborate closely with supervising SLP, educators, and families
Adaptable and compassionate approach with diverse student populations
Key Responsibilities: Provide direct speech and language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed SLP
Implement individualized education program (IEP) goals for students
Prepare engaging materials and activities to support therapy sessions
Document student progress and maintain accurate records
Support screening and assessment processes as requested by supervising SLP
Communicate regularly with team members and families to optimize student outcomes
