Job description
Step into a meaningful contract opportunity as an SLPA, delivering specialized speech and language support to students aged 6 to 22, including those on the Autism Spectrum. Key Qualifications:
Active licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
Previous experience in school-based settings is highly valued
Familiarity with interventions and support strategies for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder
Ability to effectively collaborate with SLPs, educators, and support staff
Strong communication and documentation skills
Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment
Core Responsibilities:
Provide direct speech and language therapy to students under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
Work closely with students aged 6 to 22, adapting interventions for individual learning and communication needs
Implement therapy plans and track progress toward IEP goals
Support the development of communication strategies for students on the Autism Spectrum, using evidence-based practices
Maintain organized records and contribute to progress reports
Participate in team meetings and actively engage with teachers and families to support student outcomes
