Desired Qualifications and Experience:
Active SLPA licensure meeting California state requirements
Hands-on experience within school environments or comparable pediatric settings
Comfort collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and following individualized education plans (IEPs)
Skill in conducting therapy sessions, progress monitoring, and maintaining detailed documentation
Strong communication abilities and adaptability in dynamic school settings
Understanding of best practices in both the educational and healthcare context for SLPAs
Compassion, patience, and a positive, student-centered mindset
Key Responsibilities: Implement therapy activities developed by supervising speech-language pathologist
Provide direct small-group and individual interventions to eligible students
Accurately document session notes, student progress, and data for IEP reporting
Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student achievement and carry out recommendations
Adapt activities and materials to meet each student's unique needs and learning styles
Attend relevant meetings, trainings, and professional development as required by the assignment
