Job description
Step into a dynamic role supporting the communication needs of preschool and elementary-aged children in a collaborative school setting near Wilmington, DE. As a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA), you'll have opportunities to choose either full-time or part-time hours to best fit your lifestyle, working Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Your clinical skills will help students reach their potential while making a measurable difference in their educational experience.
What we're looking for:
Active Delaware SLPA license required
Relevant experience in school-based or healthcare settings as an SLPA
A passion for working with younger children, from preschool through elementary
Ability to communicate effectively with children, families, and school staff
Strong organizational and time management skills
Your responsibilities will include: Providing direct therapy and support to students under the supervision of an SLP
Assisting with screenings, documentation, and progress monitoring
Collaborating with teachers and special education teams to integrate therapy into daily activities
Maintaining accurate records and contributing to student progress reports
Participating in team meetings, professional development, and parent conferences
Helping create a positive, encouraging, and inclusive environment for children
