Job description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students from Pre-K through 5th grade for the school year. This full-time position offers 37.5 hours each week and provides the chance to make a positive impact near Oakland, California.
As an SLP, you'll collaborate with a diverse team dedicated to fostering student success in both individual and group settings. This school setting values new talent and welcomes Clinical Fellows (CFs), ensuring you receive comprehensive supervision and mentorship as you begin or continue your professional journey.
Key Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
Valid California SLP license, or eligibility to obtain before the start date
Open to experienced clinicians and Clinical Fellows (CFs) seeking supervision
Commitment to supporting students' communication needs in school environments
Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Primary Responsibilities: Provide direct therapy to Pre-K through 5th grade students with diverse speech and language needs
Conduct evaluations and develop individualized therapy plans
Collaborate closely with teachers, SLPA's, and other educational staff
Offer guidance and support for SLPA's and VOCO activities
Maintain timely and accurate documentation, IEP records, and progress monitoring
Engage in team meetings and contribute to a positive, supportive school environment
