Huntsville, AL $92,210 - $106,205 a year

Unlock Lifelong Communication in the Beautiful South – Become Our New Speech Language Pathologist

Imagine a job that is not just about helping individuals with communication challenges but is also truly about making a difference in their lives. As a Speech Language Pathologist in the picturesque landscape of Huntsville, Alabama, your work will do more than treat disorders; it will enable people to access their voices, rediscover confidence, and foster connections — from the joyous exploration of language by little ones to the empowering journey of seniors regaining independence.

This opportunity allows you to engage with patients of all ages in a dynamic setting, providing outpatient therapy with some inpatient opportunities. Whether your passion lies in guiding toddlers through their first syllables, supporting adults following neurological changes, or assisting older adults with cognitive-linguistic hurdles, you'll discover an enriching balance of work here.

Conduct comprehensive evaluations for diverse patient groups, utilizing both standardized assessments and observational methods.

Design tailored treatment plans that target both immediate goals and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.

Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions emphasizing communication, fluency, voice, and swallowing skills.

Work closely with a network of professionals including physical therapists, occupational therapists, and physicians to formulate integrated care plans.

Educate patients and their families to facilitate progress beyond therapy sessions.

Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and speech therapy interventions to ensure seamless treatment experiences.

Document findings and progress in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.

Engage in continuous professional development and stay abreast of advancements within the field.

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.

Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA-certified.

Valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist.

Preferred: ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Expert in evidence-based practices across all age groups, with robust knowledge of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.

Exceptional communication skills to engage effectively with patients, families, and the broader care team.

Ability to adjust therapy strategies to meet the unique cultural and linguistic backgrounds of patients.

Proficient clinical judgment and problem-solving capabilities.

Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation standards.

Attractive salary based on experience.

Flexible schedule to help you maintain a healthy work-life balance.

Opportunity to focus on specialties such as pediatrics, adult neuro rehabilitation, or geriatrics.

Generous paid time off (PTO) and holiday compensation.

Comprehensive health benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance.

Financial support for continuing education and professional growth.

A collaborative work environment prioritizing teamwork and continuous learning.

A Role That Enriches Lives — and Your Own

By stepping into this position, you're not merely providing speech therapy; you're part of a collective mission dedicated to voicing truths, strengthening bonds, and creating joyful moments through the gift of understanding and expression.

Here, you'll become part of a close-knit team that fosters a collaborative spirit over competition. Each patient's journey is unique, and we trust you to play a pivotal role in how those narratives unfold.
