Job Summary and Responsibilities
nAs our Speech Language Pathologist, you will be a vital clinician, expertly assessing, diagnosing, and treating communication and swallowing disorders to significantly improve patient quality of life.
nEvery day, you will conduct comprehensive evaluations for all referred patients, meticulously implementing individualized treatment plans. You'll contribute clinical expertise to develop/upgrade treatment programs/protocols, and actively shape departmental and organizational goals.
nTo be successful in this role, you will possess advanced clinical knowledge, exceptional diagnostic/therapeutic skills, and a compassionate, patient-centered approach.
nnnEvaluates/assesses patients in a systematic and thorough manner; establishes appropriate treatment plans and goals within specified time frames; administers appropriate treatments to patients; demonstrates knowledge and skill in the use of therapeutic interventions for speech, language, cognition, and swallowing for patients of all ages.

nnInstructs and supervises patient care of rehabilitation technicians and student affiliates in a respectful, courteous and consistent manner.

nnMaintains timely and accurate medical records; records legibly in patient charts; completes reports in an organized, thorough and timely manner.

nnFosters communication with patients and families, other therapists, physicians, nurses, volunteers, and other hospital personnel to achieve goals and establish department support; attends and provides quality input during multidisciplinary rounds and departmental meetings.

nnProvides patient and family education; includes information on outside resources to meet the patient's specific needs.
n
nnPromotes health care outcomes in concert with currently accepted clinical practice guidelines and established clinical pathways. Identifies poor outcomes/data for referral for performance improvement.

nnnMasters Other Major in Communication Sciences and Disorders or other related field

nnSpeech Language Pathologist: TX, upon hire

nnBasic Life Support - CPR, within 14 - days

nPay Range
n$40.95 - $60.91 /hour
