nTERM OF EMPLOYMENT: 10-Month Position, Full-Time
nSTARTING DATE: September 2026
nSALARY RANGE: $49,4700 - $79,820 per school year .. Final salary offer will be prorated based on duration of Long-Term Substitute Assignment
n*Actual Salary Is Dependent Upon Education, Experience and Contract.
nDUTIES:
nnnEvaluate, plan program, and provide speech-language services for students with disabilities, 5 - 21 years of age.
n
nnCommunicate with parents, teachers, other involved professionals, and appropriate community agencies/services.
n
nnDevelopment and implementation of IEPs (including preparation for annual reviews and re-evaluations) addressing communication skills as they Integrate with academics, based on students' needs.
n
nnProvide thorough and timely reporting consistent with Department policies and program requirements.
n
nnParticipate in departmental, program, and building meetings, team meetings; and staffing.
n
nnImplement various service delivery models.
n
nnEstablish and maintain a daily schedule.
n
nnEstablish and maintain professional working relationships with other Professionals, parents, students, and department colleagues.
n
nnMaintain credentials through ongoing professional development.
n
n nQUALIFICATIONS:
nnnNYS Certification as a Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped/Teacher of Students with Speech/Language Disabilities.
n
nnNYS License as a Speech-Language Pathologist required.
n
nnASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology preferred.
n
nnExperience with school age special and general education populations preferred.
n
nnExperience with itinerant service delivery models preferred.
n
nnExperience with neuro-developmental approaches preferred.
n
nnExperience and/or knowledge of assistive technology and AAC preferred.
n
nnPhysically able to perform essential functions of the position (with or without reasonable accommodation).
