nAt MKSA/KULA, you will be part of a supportive, multidisciplinary team that includes speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, nurses, educators, teacher assistants, and other professionals.

nOur clinicians work closely with children, families, and fellow team members to create individualized treatment plans and provide coordinated, child-centered care. You will have the opportunity to help children strengthen their communication, language, feeding, and developmental skills while seeing the impact of your work every day.

nWe primarily serve children from birth through kindergarten and may expand services during the summer to include elementary school-aged children with special needs.

nWhat You'll Do

nAs a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will:

nnnEvaluate children's speech, language, communication, and related developmental needs.

n

nnDevelop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans.

n

nnProvide engaging therapy that helps children build functional communication skills.

n

nnMonitor progress and adjust treatment strategies based on each child's needs.

n

nnComplete clinical documentation and reports accurately and within required timeframes.

n

nnCollaborate with families, educators, therapists, nurses, and other members of the treatment team.

n

nnEducate and support families as they help their children practice new skills.

n

nnCelebrate meaningful milestones and help children gain greater confidence and independence.

n

n nQualifications

nEducation and Certification

nnnMaster's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or university.

n

nnCurrent Arkansas Speech-Language Pathologist license or eligibility to obtain the appropriate Arkansas license.

n

nnCertificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), or eligibility to complete a Clinical Fellowship Year.

n

n nExperience

nnnOne year of experience in a similar position is preferred.

n

nnNew graduates and Clinical Fellowship candidates are encouraged to apply.

n

nnAn equivalent combination of education and applicable clinical experience may be considered.

n

n nSkills and Abilities

nnnPassion for working with children from birth through age seven.

n

nnAbility to communicate effectively and professionally with children, families, coworkers, and other professionals.

n

nnStrong clinical judgment, organizational skills, and attention to detail.

n

nnAbility to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

n

nnAbility to complete clear, accurate, and timely clinical documentation.

n

nnBasic computer skills, including familiarity with electronic records, databases, word processing, spreadsheets, and internet-based programs.

n

nnAbility to understand and follow safety requirements, policies, procedures, and other company documents.

n

nnAbility to use sound judgment and practical problem-solving skills.
