nJob Overview Talin Home Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. In this role, you will assess, diagnose, and treat individuals with speech, language, and communication disorders. You will work closely with patients in their home setting. Your expertise in medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology will be essential in developing effective treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.
nResponsibilities
nConduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify speech and language disorders.
nDevelop individualized treatment plans based on patient evaluations and goals.
nImplement therapeutic interventions to improve communication skills.
nCollaborate with educators, parents, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care.
nMaintain accurate records of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
nStay updated on the latest research and best practices in speech therapy.
nExperience
nA degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
nClinical experience in pediatrics or school settings is preferred.
nStrong knowledge of medical terminology related to speech therapy.
nFamiliarity with patient assessment techniques and early intervention practices.
nUnderstanding of anatomy and physiology as it relates to speech and language development.
nExcellent communication skills and a passion for helping others improve their quality of life.
nSpeech Pathologist Qualifications / Skills:
nKnowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, and private insurance plans
nFamiliarity with a variety of speech and cognitive disorders
nStrong interpersonal and communication skills
nBasic computer literacy
nAbility to comply with all regulatory standards
nEducation and Experience Requirements:
nMasters degree in speech language pathology or related field
n>1 year speech language pathology experience
nActive state SLP license
nASHA certification preferred
nCPR certification
