Job description
We’re looking for an experienced SLP to take on a full-time role with one of our area clients in Dothan, AL. You will work with patients in a skilled nursing facility to improve communication and swallowing, making a measurable difference in their daily lives. Minimum Requirements
Master's or doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association required.
Active Alabama state license required.
Preferred completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY). Candidates without CFY will be supervised by an SLP holding ASHA CCC.
Experience evaluating and treating communication and dysphagia disorders across the lifespan, including neonates to geriatrics.
Knowledge of medical terminology and ability to communicate effectively with physicians and clinical staff.
Preferably, experience with video fluoroscopic evaluations and dysphagia therapy.
Ability to perform screenings, assessments, documentation (evaluation, treatment plans, goals, progress notes, discharge summaries), discharge planning, and staff in-service training.
Willingness to provide treatment only on physician prescription per facility policy.
COVID-19 vaccination preferred; exemptions will be considered.
