nFull-time Speech Language Pathologist hires at our Glenville & Albany Clover Patch Preschool are eligible for up to $6,000. Payments are subject to the terms of the incentive program, including continued active employment and good standing.
nThe Speech-Language Pathologist contributes to the mission of the Center for Disability Services and Education department by working collaboratively with program management and interdisciplinary team members to ensure quality services to all students.
nEssential Duties & Responsibilities:
nnnProvides quality speech-language pathology therapy services
n
nnAssesses current level of function
n
nnDevelops and implement an appropriate treatment plan
n
nnMaintains complete and accurate clinical documentation
n
nnReviews and cosigns documentation completed by Clinical Fellows and students as assigned
n
nnCommunicates with physicians, IDT members, caregivers, and vendors, and specific to Education Speech-Language Pathologists with school districts, and county service providers
n
nnEvaluates treatment outcomes and modifies treatment plans as needed
n
nnMaintains clinical and professional knowledge base
n
nnWrites necessary scripts and communicates diagnoses with physicians/medical professionals
n
nnComplies with Federal, State, and local legal and professional requirements
n
nnSupervises assigned Clinical Fellow candidates and/or student interns
n
nnMaintains all continuing education requirements for licensure
n
n nRequirements:
nnnGraduate degree (Masters) in field of Speech-Language Pathology
n
nnNew York State Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
n
nnNYS Teaching Certification as a TSHH (Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped) or TSSLD (Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities)
n
nnAmerican Speech-Language Hearing Association Certificate of Clinical Competence is required for all who supervise student interns and Clinical Fellowship candidates
n
n nMust be at least 18 years old to apply for this position.
