Speech Language Pathologist in Evans, GA
Make an impact by supporting students' growth and communication as a Speech-Language Pathologist through this rewarding contract opportunity. This role involves working closely with students across a range of ages and abilities, providing essential speech and language services right in the school environment.
Responsibilities include evaluating students speech, language, and communication abilities, and developing individualized treatment plans to help them succeed academically and socially. You’ll collaborate with teachers, families, and other specialists to monitor progress and address each student’s unique needs.
Desired Qualifications:
Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
Active state licensure as an SLP
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
Experience with assessment, intervention, and documentation in school settings
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with students, staff, and families
Flexibility and adaptability to the structure of school-based services
Proficiency in developing and implementing IEPs
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments of students' speech and language abilities
Develop and deliver targeted therapy plans for students within individual or group settings
Participate in IEP meetings, providing expertise and recommendations
Maintain thorough and timely documentation as required by school policies
Provide resources, support, and guidance for families and staff
Adapt approaches to meet a wide range of student needs
