Job description
Step into an impactful opportunity supporting students for the school year as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist. This contract position offers flexibility with multiple locations and hours available near Folsom, CA, and competitive pay ranging from $60 to $80 an hour. You'll work alongside a dynamic educational team, helping students improve their communication skills and shaping their confidence for lifelong success.
Qualifications and Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
Valid California SLP license or eligibility to obtain one
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; strong CFY candidates considered
Prior experience in a school setting is a plus
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff
Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation requirements
Passion for making a positive difference in the lives of young learners
Key Responsibilities: Conduct assessments to identify communication disorders in students across various ages
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address speech, language, voice, and fluency issues
Work collaboratively with classroom teachers, special educators, and families
Document progress and prepare reports according to district and legal guidelines
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team planning
Provide direct therapy and share strategies for classroom carryover
