Job description
Make a meaningful impact in students' lives as a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist on a contract assignment in a supportive school environment not far from Glendale, CA. Your expertise in evaluating and assisting students with communication disorders will help foster academic success and personal growth from day one.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
Valid California SLP license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility
Previous experience delivering speech therapy services in a school or pediatric setting strongly preferred
Familiarity with IEP processes, documentation, and diverse treatment methodologies
Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
Commitment to providing high-quality, student-centered interventions
Key Responsibilities: Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for students with speech, language, and communication challenges
Deliver direct therapy sessions and consultative support tailored to each student's goals
Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, special education professionals, and families to promote speech and language development within the educational setting
Maintain timely and thorough documentation, attend IEP meetings, and participate in multidisciplinary team discussions
Monitor progress and adjust interventions to ensure optimal outcomes for each student
