Job description
Make a positive impact in the lives of students as a Speech-Language Pathologist working in a supportive school environment near Manassas, VA. This contract opportunity allows you to collaborate with educators and families while helping students achieve their communication goals.
Key Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
SLP-CCC certification (Certificate of Clinical Competence)
Valid SLP license for the state of Virginia (or eligibility to obtain)
Previous experience in a school setting preferred
Strong knowledge of speech, language, and communication disorders in children
Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
Proficiency in developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
Primary Responsibilities: Evaluate students to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders
Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's needs
Provide direct therapy services (individual and group) to students
Consult and collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
Monitor and document student progress; update IEPs as appropriate
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning
Provide training and guidance to school staff regarding communication strategies
Maintain accurate records in compliance with school and state requirements
