Job description

Speech Language Pathologist in Mesa

Empower Communication Across the Lifespan in Mesa, Arizona – Become a Part of Our Team as a Speech Language Pathologist

Imagine a career where your day-to-day work gives voice to purpose in profound ways. As a Speech Language Pathologist in Mesa, Arizona, you won't just be addressing communication and swallowing disorders; you'll be a pivotal figure in transforming lives. Here, your expertise will help unlock potential, instill confidence, and foster connections – from young children celebrating their first conversations to older adults rediscovering independence.

This position offers a unique chance to work with diverse clientele throughout their lifespan. In a dynamic setting that combines outpatient therapy with occasional inpatient support, you'll have the flexibility to focus on various areas of interest — whether it's pediatric language attainment, adult neurogenic disorders, or geriatric cognitive rehabilitation, your path is yours to shape.

Conduct comprehensive evaluations across pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations utilizing standardized assessments and observational techniques.

Design individualized treatment strategies that meet immediate goals as well as long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.

Deliver tailored one-on-one speech therapy sessions concentrating on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities.

Partner with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, and families to develop integrated care plans.

Educate patients and families to encourage progress and engagement outside of clinical encounters.

Provide occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions to ensure a seamless continuum of care throughout the treatment journey.

Keep meticulous and timely documentation following state, federal, and institutional guidelines.

Commit to ongoing education and collaborative practice in the field.

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.

Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.

Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hiring.

Expertise in evidence-based treatment for all ages, with a solid grasp of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.

Strong interpersonal skills for meaningful communication with patients, families, and the care team.

Ability to adapt therapy techniques to cater to various cultural and linguistic backgrounds.

Exemplary clinical judgement and problem-solving skills.

Comfortable navigating electronic medical records and documentation protocols.

Competitive salary commensurate with experience.

Flexible scheduling to encourage work-life balance and diverse caseloads.

Specialization opportunities in pediatrics, adult neuro rehab, or geriatric care.

Paid time off (PTO) and holiday pay.

Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance options.

Support for continuing education and professional growth.

A team-centric environment that emphasizes quality care and lifelong learning.

In this role, your impact will extend beyond therapy. You will join a mission-driven culture dedicated to restoring voices, enhancing communication, and creating uplifting moments through the essential exchanges of life — understanding and being understood.

Your colleagues will feel like family as you work in an environment that champions collaboration rather than competition. Every patient has a narrative, and you'll be entrusted with facilitating its evolution.

Life in Mesa, Arizona, dances to its own beat, merging the vibrancy of innovation with the charm of true southwestern hospitality. Surrounded by the majestic beauty of the Sonoran Desert, this city invites you to enjoy a seamless blend of adventure, culture, and career opportunity.

Families and friends bask in the sun at local parks, while adventurers take to nearby trails and natural preserves—hiking, biking, or simply soaking in the stunning vistas. Culinary enthusiasts can partake in a flourishing dining scene, where everything from food trucks to gourmet establishments offer flavors that celebrate local traditions and diverse influences.

The city pulses with creativity that can be seen in colorful public art and felt in the local music scenes, community festivals, and artisan markets showcasing the best of what Mesa offers. The benefits don't stop at the lifestyle; there's no state income tax, a reasonable cost of living, and a burgeoning healthcare industry that encourages both personal and professional growth.

Whether you are starting your career or a seasoned pro looking to make your mark, Mesa provides the perfect backdrop for your journey.

We are searching for a Speech Language Pathologist with a passion for both objectives and empathy. A professional who recognizes the quiet child and envisions a blossoming communicator, who hears the hesitant speech of a recovery seeker, and perceives resilience.

You may be a pediatric expert ready to branch into adult services, or a clinician specializing in neurorehabilitation eager to dabble in early intervention. Whatever your passion, if you're ready to offer warmth alongside expertise, we can't wait to welcome you to our community.

If you resonate with the belief that speech transcends mere sounds and therapy extends beyond tasks — if you appreciate the importance of building trust before pursuing goals, and find value in laughter in addition to language — this could be the next compelling chapter in your career journey.

Join our community that celebrates communication, connection, and the bravery to start anew. Apply today to share your unique voice with our team and help others find theirs upon this inspiring journey.
