Job description
Make a meaningful impact by supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a dynamic school environment near Nancy, KY. This contract opportunity allows you to apply your expertise in communication disorders, help young learners meet their speech goals, and collaborate with dedicated educational teams.
Ideal candidates will have experience or strong interest in serving in preschool settings, delivering evaluations, Response to Intervention (RTI), and speech services. The position also offers supervisory opportunities with an SLPA. Candidates familiar with First Steps and Head Start are highly preferred. Additionally, there is a need for a skilled SLP to provide essential support covering for staff on leave, ensuring continuity of care and services for all students.
Qualifications and Preferred Background
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
Valid SLP licensure and CCC or CFY status
Experience in school-based caseloads, especially preschool ages
Skilled in conducting evaluations, RTI, and direct/indirect therapy
Knowledge of First Steps and Head Start procedures
Ability to supervise and mentor an SLPA
Collaborative, communicative, and flexible approach
Primary Responsibilities Provide speech and language evaluations for preschool-aged students
Deliver high-quality intervention, both consultative and direct, as needed
Oversee and guide the SLPA, fostering a supportive atmosphere for growth
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other specialists
Maintain accurate records and contribute to IEP meetings
Offer supplemental services in the event of staff leaves, partnering with the team to ensure student goals are met
