Speech Language Pathologist in Porter, TX
Step into a dynamic contract opportunity supporting students by utilizing your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist! This role is ideal for dedicated professionals motivated to improve students' communication and language abilities within an educational setting. You’ll collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to provide targeted services and make a meaningful impact throughout the school year.
Qualifications and Experience:
Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited program
Active SLP license in the state or eligibility to obtain prior to start
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but strong CFY candidates considered
Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting highly valued
Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
Ability to work well independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Compassionate approach toward supporting students of diverse backgrounds
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct screenings, evaluations, and assessments to identify student speech and language needs
Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with IEP goals
Provide direct and consultative speech-language therapy to students in group and individual sessions
Collaborate with teachers and parents to foster skill generalization in academic and social contexts
Maintain timely documentation and participate in IEP meetings
Stay up-to-date with best practices in school-based speech-language services
