Job description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as an onsite Speech-Language Pathologist, working full-time with elementary students in the Muskegon area for the school year. This engaging role involves both a primary assignment at a local elementary school and delivering SLP services to non-public schools supported by the district, providing a diverse and fulfilling caseload.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Valid Speech-Language Pathology license (SLP-CCC required)
Previous experience working in a school-based setting strongly preferred
Comfortable providing direct therapy, conducting assessments, and developing IEPs
Effective communicator who collaborates well with teachers, support staff, and families
Ability to manage caseloads with flexibility and professionalism
Familiarity with serving diverse student populations, including those from non-public educational environments
Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for elementary students
Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans and IEP goals
Deliver direct therapy services, adapting interventions to meet diverse student needs
Collaborate with educators and families to support each child's communication development
Maintain detailed progress notes and ensure compliance with district and state guidelines
Travel between the main elementary school and assigned non-public school locations as required
