Job description
Make a direct impact in young learners' lives as a Speech-Language Pathologist serving elementary students in a supportive school setting. This contract opportunity runs from ASAP through the end of the school year, offering you the chance to work closely with a K-5 population in a full-time schedule from 7:30 am to 2:45 pm daily. With a manageable caseload of about 35 students, you'll enjoy the ability to foster meaningful growth and individualized progress for each child.
What you'll bring to this role:
Valid SLP license, Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) or Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) completed or in progress
Previous experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations highly valued
Bilingual skills are a plus, but not required
Dedicated to delivering evidence-based speech and language services
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, collaborating with educators and families
Your key responsibilities: Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for speech, language, and communication disorders among K-5 students
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team
Participate in eligibility meetings, annual reviews, and consultations as needed
Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports, ensuring compliance with school and state standards
Educate teachers and staff regarding strategies to support students within the classroom environment
Foster positive and effective communication with parents and caregivers
