nA Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) diagnoses and treats conditions that affect the ability to communicate and swallow. As an expert in communication, you will help assess, diagnose, treat and prevent speech, language, voice and swallowing disorders for our patients. In this role, you can help patients improve their speech, open new communication possibilities and improve their ability to comprehend others, express themselves and swallow safely. Aside from supporting others, you will also have endless opportunities to improve your own skills through Cleveland Clinic's wealth of resources and educational programs.
nA caregiver in this position works PRN (as needed) from 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
n*Hours will vary depending on census
nA caregiver who excels in this role will:
nnnEvaluate and treat patients with injuries and/or diseases which result in a loss or impairment of speech, language, voice, cognitive and/or swallowing function.
n
nnPerform initial and ongoing assessments of patients' conditions.
n
nnEstablish goals and plans of care.
n
nnPerform therapy interventions utilizing standard speech therapy techniques and skills.
n
nnComplete documentation.
n
n nMinimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
nnnMaster's Degree
n
nnGraduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Program
n
nnCurrent Ohio license as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)
n
nnHold or have applied for the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Pathology from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association
n

nPhysical Requirements:
nnnManual dexterity and visual acuity to perform tasks needed for patient care and administrative tasks.

nnAbility to stand for long periods of time.

n nPersonal Protective Equipment:
nnFollows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
n nPay Range
nMinimum hourly: $48.00
nMaximum hourly: $48.00
nThe pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate's work history, experience, skill set and education.
