As a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist in Wauconda, Illinois, your days will include:
Assess students' speech, language, and communication needs through screenings and evaluations.
Provide individualized and small-group speech-language therapy to elementary students.
Develop and implement IEP goals that support communication skills and classroom participation.
Collaborate with teachers, families, and related service providers to integrate communication strategies into students' school day.
Monitor student progress, maintain accurate documentation, and participate in IEP meetings.
Support students with articulation, fluency, expressive and receptive language, and social communication needs.
Job Details Position: Full-time contract in a school setting
Dates: ASAP through June
Hours: 35 hours per week
Daily Schedule: 8:20 a.m.-3:50 p.m.
Grade Level: Elementary
Caseload: Starting at 26 students with IEPs, with growth anticipated as the school year progresses
Setting: Onsite
Successful Candidates Possess A Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
An active Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist license (required)
An active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) (required)
Experience in a pediatric or school setting (preferred)
Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
The ability to work in the U.S. without a sponsor
Note: New graduates may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
