Job Summary and Responsibilities

nAs our Speech Language Pathologist, you will be a vital clinician, expertly assessing, diagnosing, and treating communication and swallowing disorders to significantly improve patient quality of life.

nEvery day, you will conduct comprehensive evaluations for all referred patients, meticulously implementing individualized treatment plans. You'll contribute clinical expertise to develop/upgrade treatment programs/protocols, and actively shape departmental and organizational goals.

nTo be successful in this role, you will possess advanced clinical knowledge, exceptional diagnostic/therapeutic skills, and a compassionate, patient-centered approach.

nnnAccurately identifies communication disorder through appropriate screening and assessment measures.

n

nnObtains pertinent information about patients medical history prior to evaluation.

n

nnConducts comprehensive evaluations. Elicits and records information.

n

nnAccurately and clearly reports evaluation and treatment results to patients and families.

n

nnEncourages participation by patient and family in the establishment of goals and measurement of progress.

n

nnAccurately reports evaluation and treatment results to referral sources and others.

n

n nJob Requirements

nRequired

nnnMasters Other Speech Pathology, Communicative Disorders or Communicative Science, upon hire and

n

nnMasters Other or equivalent in Speech Pathology, Communicative Disorders or Communicative Science, upon hire and

n

nnSpeech Language Pathologist: CA SLP, upon hire and

n

nnBasic Life Support - AHA BLS CPR, upon hire

n

n nPreferred

nnnExperience with Modified Barium Swallow studies and

n

nnNewly licensed, (see below for licensure). During the externship, experience with adults and geriatric patients with dysphasia and

n

nnExperience with Modified Barium Swallow studies
