Speech-Language Specialist - Inpatient Rehab
LOCATION: Sioux Falls, SD
JOB TYPE: Full-Time Permanent
$10,000 Sign-On Bonus | Up to $10,000 Relocation Assistance
We are recruiting a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a well-established inpatient rehabilitation hospital offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patients recovering from serious illness, injury, or other complex medical conditions.
This is an excellent opportunity for an SLP who enjoys working as part of a collaborative rehabilitation team and wants to help patients regain essential communication, cognitive, and swallowing skills while progressing toward greater independence.

As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will evaluate and treat patients with a variety of speech, language, cognitive-communication, and related rehabilitation needs.
Responsibilities
Completing comprehensive speech-language pathology evaluations.
Developing individualized plans of care based on each patient's needs and goals.
Providing evidence-based treatment and adjusting interventions as patients progress.
Monitoring and documenting functional outcomes and response to therapy.
Educating patients and families throughout the rehabilitation process.
Collaborating closely with physicians, nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, case management, and other members of the care team.
Helping patients achieve meaningful functional gains and greater independence.
Qualifications
Current Speech-Language Pathologist licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of practice.
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).
CPR certification or ability to obtain certification within 30 days of hire.
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology preferred; other qualifying education and experience will be considered in accordance with applicable requirements.
Strong communication, assessment, documentation, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
