nWeekday PRN Rate:$60/hr
nWeekend PRN rate: $66/hr
nWe are seeking a compassionate and driven clinician to join our acute care team. This role is ideal for therapists who enjoy fast-paced environments, critical thinking and daily collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
nResponsibilities
nMinimum PRN requirements: 1 weekend shift of availability per month in addition to one high-need day (could be weekend or weekday), as determined by the needs of the department. Minimum 2 years of experience in acute care.
nnnPerform comprehensive evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans and deliver skilled interventions for patients in medical-surgical, ICU, telemetry and specialty units

nnParticipate in interdisciplinary discussions and make recommendations regarding NPO status, diet levels and instrumental assessments
n
nnDocument timely and accurately in the electronic medical record per hospital and regulatory standards
n
nnCompleting patient/family and staff education related to communication, cognition and swallowing, as appropriate
n
nnContribute to quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives within our team

n nQualifications
nMinimum Qualifications
nnnCurrent state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist required.
n
nnCurrent Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language & Hearing Association or eligibility for Certification pending professional experience required.
n
nnCertified BLS or completion in the first 90 days of employment required.
n
nnAcute care experience, minimum one year required

nnCompetency with MBSS, strongly preferred
n
nnStrong communication, critical thinking and teamwork skills
