Speech Language Pathologist - SLP

Transform Lives Through Communication in the Enchanting City of Anaheim, California – Become Our Next Speech Language Pathologist

Imagine embracing the opportunity to blend your passion for speech therapy with the vibrant community spirit of Anaheim. As a Speech Language Pathologist, your contributions will go beyond merely managing speech and swallowing disorders; they will empower individuals to regain confidence, nurture connections, and find their voices at every stage of life—from toddlers articulating their first sounds to seniors reclaiming their contact with the world.

This role invites you to work across diverse populations in an exciting environment that intertwines outpatient therapy with periodic inpatient engagement. Whether your enthusiasm lies in preschool language milestones, helping adults navigate neurogenic communication challenges, or aiding seniors in cognitive-linguistic rehabilitation, your journey here promises not only fulfillment but also flexibility.

Responsibilities

Assess patients ranging from children to seniors using both standardized tests and observational strategies.

Create tailored treatment plans targeting immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.

Deliver focused speech therapy sessions emphasizing language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary group of healthcare professionals—including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, and families—to devise comprehensive care approaches.

Educate patients and families to foster progress beyond the confines of therapy.

Participate in inpatient evaluations and interventions as needed to maintain seamless continuity of care.

Ensure compliance with documentation guidelines at both the state and federal levels.

Engage in continuous educational opportunities and collaborative discussions with peers.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.

Successful completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not currently ASHA-certified.

Certifications

Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.

Preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.

Mandatory Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within the first month of employment.

Skills

Expertise in evidence-based therapy techniques for various ages, with robust knowledge of both developmental and acquired speech disorders.

Exceptional communication abilities that foster rapport with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

Capable of modifying treatment methodologies to cater to culturally diverse populations.

Sharp clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills.

Familiarity with electronic medical documentation systems.

Benefits

Attractive salary package reflecting your experience and qualifications.

Flexible work schedules promoting a healthy work-life integration.

Chances to delve into specialized areas such as pediatrics, adult neuro rehab, or geriatric care.

Generous paid time off (PTO) and holiday provisions.

Comprehensive healthcare coverage, including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.

Investment in your professional growth through reimbursement for continuing education.

Supportive and collaborative work environment that prioritizes exceptional care and ongoing learning.

A Journey That Speaks to Your Heart

In this position, your role transcends standard speech therapy responsibilities; it becomes a calling within a mission to empower individuals, enrich their lives, and weave the fabric of a community that cherishes understanding.

Here, you will forge connections with colleagues who hold collaborative efforts in high esteem rather than rivalry. Every encounter with a patient tells a unique tale, and we believe in your potential to shape each of these narratives.
