Working alongside an interdisciplinary team, you'll help individuals recovering from neurological injuries, illnesses, and complex conditions regain communication, cognitive, and swallowing skills that improve independence and quality of life.

nWho We're Looking For

nnnCurrent CCC-SLP certification

n

nnLicensed (or license-eligible) Speech-Language Pathologist in California

n

nnExperience with neurological, cognitive-communication, and/or dysphagia populations preferred

n

nnPassion for helping patients achieve goals in real-world settings

n

nnStrong collaboration and communication skills

n

nnDesire to think creatively and deliver personalized care

nnnResponsibilities

nWhat you will do: Responsibilities listed include but not limited to:

n

nnPerform evaluations and develop treatment plans of patients with speech, language, cognitive and swallowing disorders

n

nnRegularly re-assess effectiveness of treatment plans, attend staffing meetings and family conferences

n

nnPerform discharge evaluations, make appropriate recommendations for home and community safety, and provide referral and education resources

n

nnCommunicate patient’s needs and progress to the treatment team, physician, person receiving services and family members

n

nnCommunicates with other disciplines to ensure collaboration, coordination of care and enhance patient outcomes

n

n nQualifications

nWhat you will need:

nnnMinimum of a Master’s Degree from an accredited Speech Language Pathology program

n

nnValid Speech Language Pathology license in the state(s) of practice

n

nnCurrent CPR Certification in accordance with state regulations

n

nnA minimum of one year’s work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist

n

nnDemonstrates knowledge of rehabilitation techniques related to complex neurological injury preferred

n

nnCommunicates effectively and professionally in verbal and written interactions

n

nnAbility to lift 50 pounds

n

nnMoving, lifting, or transferring of patients which may involve lifting of up to 100 pounds following safety procedures

n

nnDuties require fine motor skills ,visual acuity, and walking/ standing for extended periods

n

nnAdditional physical requirements include: pushing/pulling, bending/stooping, reaching, kneeling, and positioning frequently at times

n

nnA health screen or examination may be required prior to assignment and periodically thereafter, depending on specific location policy, local and state regulations to verify employee is physically capable of performing assigned duties with or without reasonable accommodations
