Speech Language Pathologist - SLP / Certified

Revitalize Communication in the Heart of the Carolinas – Become a Speech Language Pathologist with Us

Imagine a career that transforms lives by facilitating communication — that's precisely what you'll do as a Speech Language Pathologist in the dynamic and welcoming setting of Charlotte, North Carolina. Here, your expertise won't just address communication and swallowing challenges; it will unlock potential, inspire confidence, and foster connections that span generations — whether you're guiding young children as they articulate their first phrases or helping elderly individuals regain their independence.

This unique position empowers you to work with a diverse population throughout their life journey, within a setting that harmoniously blends outpatient therapy while providing occasional inpatient assistance. Whether your passion lies in supporting pediatric language growth, tackling adult neurogenic communication disorders, or aiding older adults in cognitive-linguistic rehabilitation, you will find both fulfillment and adaptability in your role.

Assess patients across all age groups by utilizing standardized assessment tools and observational strategies to understand their needs.

Create tailored treatment plans addressing both immediate goals and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.

Deliver focused speech therapy interventions targeting communication, linguistic fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques.

Engage with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to formulate cohesive care strategies.

Facilitate education for patients and family members to support their development and progress between therapy sessions.

Perform various inpatient evaluations and interventions in speech therapy as needed, ensuring a seamless treatment experience.

Document assessments and treatment plans timely and accurately, adhering to state, federal, and organizational regulations.

Keep abreast of advancements in the field through continuous education and collaboration with peers.

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.

Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA-certified.

State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.

Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within the first 30 days of employment.

Expertise in evidence-based treatment approaches catering to various ages, with a comprehensive understanding of developmental and acquired disorders.

Exceptional interpersonal communication skills in engaging with patients, families, and interdisciplinary health teams.

Adept at modifying therapy strategies according to cultural and linguistic diversity.

Strong clinical reasoning and analytical skills.

Familiarity with electronic medical record systems and documentation protocols.

Competitive salary reflective of experience.

Flexible work schedules promoting a healthy work-life equilibrium and diverse patient interactions.

Opportunity to specialize in pediatrics, adult rehabilitation, or geriatrics.

Generous paid time off (PTO) in addition to holiday compensation.

Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans.

Support for continuing education and professional development initiatives.

Collaborative and team-oriented culture emphasizing quality care and continuous growth.

A Journey that Inspires — and is Inspired

Beyond providing speech therapy, you'll immerse yourself in a mission within the community aimed at restoring voices, enhancing communication abilities, and creating blissful moments through the simple yet profound acts of understanding and connection.

You'll collaborate with fellow clinicians in an environment that fosters familial bonds over competition. Each individual you support has a unique narrative; we trust you to be instrumental in how that narrative unfolds.

What We Seek

We are searching for a Speech Language Pathologist whose motivation transcends conventional outcomes, driven by empathy. Someone who sees hesitance in a child and visualizes boundless future possibilities; who perceives the struggles of a stroke survivor and recognizes unwavering resolve.

Whatever your specialism, if you're prepared to serve passionately and guide skillfully, we are eager to welcome you into our fold.

Let's Connect Through Words — and Change Lives
